Melancholy Phoenix

I wanted to try something different, and after drawing this in my sketchbook (for stuff I color traditionally) and failing miserably, I decided to go ahead and color it in Photoshop, so I re-drew it and scanned it in...I knew I needed to do it differently than my normal stuff, so I borrowed 's style of coloring to get to what I was imagining in my head. It didn't turn out exactly how I'd wanted it to, but it's darn close, and I like how it turned out.

The Zelda I envision for Phoenix Spell. She's actually the right age in this picture, unlike in the other one I drew of her...I took the cape from the years-old first design and mixed it with the outfit from the second design, and...well, I hesitate to say "final design" for anything, but I think I'll stick with this design, because I like it. ^^

So yes, Phoenix spell Zelda looking mopey...It just flew into my head and I felt I needed to draw it, so here it is.
